教学目标
学生在本节课上将会:
复习做家务的相关词汇
对”孩子是否该做家务”表达自己看法
了解略读的方法
掌握表达赞同或不赞同某观点的句式和结构
2学情分析
这节课的授课对象是初二4班学生, 共28人. 学生在本单元之前的三个课时里已经掌握了关
于”做家务”的主题词汇,相关短语, 并对”孩子帮助家长做家务” 有一定的情感认知.
本节课后, 学生将进行一次专项写作, 巩固表达观点的词汇, 短语及句型.

4教学过程
4.1 第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】第一学时
Step 1: Lead in
------T shows the pictures about the comparison between American kids and
Chinese kids on doing chores at home. And T encourages Ss to express their
feelings.
------T invites a boy and a girl to come to the front to fold clothes. Also, T
encourages Ss to express their opinions on if children should do chores at home.
活动2【讲授】第一学时Step 2: First Reading
-------T explains how to do skimming
------- Ss skim the letters and catch the two parents’ attitudes.
------- T asks Ss to analyze the structure of the two letters.
Step 3: Second Reading
------Ss read the letters together to the text audio loudly.
------ Ss find more details to fill in the chart and then check it.
Step 4: Third reading
------Ss underline the phrases according to the Chinese meanings on handouts.
-----T picks out useful sentence patterns about how to show one’s agreement or
disagreement. Also, T adds more useful sentence patterns.
活动3【活动】第一学时
Step 5: Retelling
----- T encourages Ss to retell one side’s opinion with the help of the chart.
---- T reminds Ss to use some link words to connect their reasons.

Step 6: Homework
-----Memorize the useful phrases and sentence patterns-----Discuss the topic “If college students should take a part-time job?”, preparing
the writing materials for the next class.
