教学目标
Teaching aims:
1. Review the simple past tense.
2. Help students learn to use description words.
3. Enable students to write a travel diary by instructing them to master the main elements in
writing a travel diary.
4. Motivate students to enjoy their travel as well as learn something.

活动1【导入】Step 1 Lead-in
Greet students and give them questions to discuss.
Questions:
1. Do you like travelling?
2. Have you ever written a travel diary?
活动2【讲授】TeachingStep 2 Before Writing
1. Show an example of a travel diary and lead students to sum up the main points
when writing a diary.
Main points:
Date----- Tuesday, June 12
Place------ the beach
Weather-----sunny
Activities-----swam, played beach volleyball, ate food
Feeling-------happily, a little tired, great
2. Use the example to review simple past tense and description words.
Verbs: go—went, is-was, swim-swam, lie-lay,
eat-ate, are-were, feel-felt
Description words: sunny, happily, good, really delicious,
very friendly, a little tired, very great
Give students more practice to do.
Step 3 While writing
1. Show six famous places in Beijing and help students be familiar with them by
doing the guessing game.

given information in the last part.
3. Invite students to read their answers.
4. Ask students to write their own travel diary. The teacher must give students

5. After writing , ask students to check their partner’s writing based on the given
peer checklist.
Step 4 Summary
Invite students to sum up the main elements when writing a travel diary.
