教学目标 1. 语言知识目标: 1) 能掌握以下单词:zoo, animal, tiger, elephant, panda, lion, koala, giraffe, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary, 2) 能掌握以下句型: ① What animals do you/does she/ does he like? ② Let’s see the …? ③ Why do you/does she/ does he want to see …? ④ Because they are …. 2. 能力目标: ① To observe and describe animals. ② To talk about their preferences ③ To know the implied meaning of some animals 3. 情感态度价值观目标: 动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处,共同生 存。我们应当学会关爱动物,保护动物。 2学情分析 本班学生通过课外阅读、网络与电视,跟外面的接触面比较广,他们思维活跃, 对未知领域有强烈的求知欲望;通过对所学知识进行很好的预习,对英语有较强烈的兴趣。但 对于口语表达不够重视,不能充分理解目标语言的重要性。 学生之前已经学过了why what where 引导的特殊疑问句的句型,对本节课的学习有了认知的 前提,而且各种各样的动物的信息能够激发他们的好奇心,产生了解他们的欲望,同时利用导 学案来预习新知识,有利于本节课知识的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。 3重点难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 学会描述动物的性格及特点。 2) 学会表达喜欢某类动物及说明喜欢的原因。 2. 教学难点: 名词的复数形式表示一类事物;第三人称单数形式 4教学过程 4.1 Unit 5 Why do you like pandas SectionA (1a-1d)教学设计 4.1.1教学活动 活动1【导入】Ⅰ. Warming-up and lead in To create an English environment, the teacher play a song named Old Macdonald had a farm ,And then ask some questions about animals:Do you like animals? How many animals do you hear in the song? What are they? Do you like to go to the zoo? Let’s go to the zoo 活动2【讲授】Ⅱ. Presentation 1. Then show the class some pictures of animals and present other animals. And ask them: What’s this in English? It's a tiger. (Then lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe) Ss look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals. 2. Talk with students about the animals they like using the words they know —Do you like…? —Because they’re… 3. Next, glue the pictures on the blackboard and ask one student to match the pictures with the words on the cards. Other students turn to page 25 and finish 1a. 4. Check the answers with the class. 活动3【活动】Ⅲ. Game 1. (Guessing game.) T: Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss guess what animal it is. Ss try to guess and remember the names of the animals. 2.Chant In order to ask students to memorize the names of animals and the description words , let them do a chant like this: Panda, panda I like pandas. They are cute. Lion, lion I like lions. They are smart. …….. (students do it one by one freely, the other students clap their hands) 活动4【练习】Ⅳ. Listening Work on 1b. Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class. 活动5【练习】Ⅴ. Pair work1. Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Then ask a student to do the model with you: — Let’s see the lions first. —Why? (why do you /does she /does he like lions?) —Because they are interesting. 活动6【练习】VI. Group work Students works in groups and interview two of group members the questions: -- What animals do you want to see first? --Why do you want to see them? At the same time , students finish their chart(teacher prepared) 活动7【练习】VII. Showing time Ask some volunteers to show their report in front of the class.
