III. Teaching Procedure: Step 1 Warming Up Greetings Step 2 Review Read the dialogue in page 14 together. Step 3 Presentation 1.Present the picture of “bus”, write the new word on the blackboard, then read “b-u-s bus”. 2.Present the picture of “taxi”, write the new word on the blackboard, then read “t-a-x-i taxi”. 3.Use the same way to teach plane, ship, subway, train, foot. 4.Hold the picture high and ask students to name it. 5.Play a little game “Words Bomb”. 6.Pick 3 groups of students to read the words one after one. 7.Plus “by”, by+交通工具。* on foot. Step 4 Practice Read the dialogue and then explain the dialogue to students. While explaining, write these two sentences: “How do we get there?By bus.”on the blackboard. Exchange “get there” with “get to school” “get to the post office” “get to the science museum” “get to the hospital” “get to the cinema”. Then exchange “By bus” with“By plane” “By taxi” “By subway” “By train” “By ship” “On foot”. Teacher and one student make an example to practice the dialogue. Teacher asks and student answers.
