According to Emojipedia, the design is “inspired by its Emoji Kitchen mashup of two Flushed Face emojis, though it omits the raised eyebrows found in its Emoji Kitchen counterpart.” It’s confusion, panic, disbelief and shock … all happening simultaneously.
