Growing Up with a Good Book
Dear friends,
As the saying goes, “Books are the ladder of human progress.” Now I’m happy
to share my favourite book with you. It is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a classic
novel by Lewis Carroll. I’ve had this book for two years since my 12th birthday.What makes it special is its magical world full of surprises. Alice’s journey
teaches me to be brave and curious. When she faces challenges, she never gives up. I
also learn that growing up is about asking questions and exploring the unknown.

Reading a good book is like talking to a wise man. As for me, my favourite book
is Little Women, which is a classic literary work. It comes from the writer’s own
experiences and tells the growth of four sisters.
The four girls live a hard life but choose to help their neighbours. No matter how
hard the life is, the four sisters are so active and try to make a living. To achieve their
dreams, they get over different kinds of difficulties.
All in all, Little Womenis a masterpiece of classic literature and is worth reading.
By reading this book, I learnt how to face challenges in my life. I will take the girls as
my models and try hard to realize my dream.
