Dear Paul,
I haven’t seen you for a long time and I miss you very much. Now I’m writing to
you to ask for your help. My doctor is a woman and I feel nervous about it,
especially when I have to wear nothing at the doctor’s office. What should I do? I’m
afraid to see the doctor even if I have a bad cold. Is there something wrong with me?
Please help me. I’m looking forward to your reply.
Peter
Dear Peter,
I'm happy to hear from you and I miss you, too.
As for (关于) your trouble, there is no need to worry about it. Little kids often run
around wearing nothing and feel natural about it. But as you get older, you care more
about your body and want to have your own room. So it’s normal to feel shy when
taking off your clothes at the doctor’s office. But your doctor does need to examine
(检查) you to make sure if you are healthy.
To make you more comfortable, you can ask your mom or dad to come into the
examine room with you. You can also ask for a gown (长袍).Most doctors’ offices
have these gowns for patients. So just relax, and your doctor can examine you better
to keep you in good health.
Paul

Fights at school sometimes happen. But how can you keep away from a fight?
Here’s something you can do.
Be calm (冷静的). Sometimes, you feel so angry that you really want to teach
somebody a lesson. But being angry can’t solve problems. Neither can a fight.
Instead, it may bring you more problems. In the school, everyone involved (卷入) in a
fight will be punished, no matter who started it. There are no winners in a fight.
Shout loudly. If you know someone is coming up behind you to attack, turn
toward the person with your hands up in front of your body and loudly say “stop”
before walking away. Loud voice can usually make the attacker calm down. If the
person doesn’t stop, cry for help by calling out the name of a teacher whose office is
nearby.
________ Your friend may ask you to join in a fight. Learn to say no. Helping
him fight is not really helpful to him. If you really want to give him a hand, try to ask
him to give it up. Also, you can tell him if he gets involved in a fight, he may get hurt
and be punished. Then, try to learn why he wants a fight and help him find a right way
to deal with the problem.
( )26.The underlined word “attack” in Paragraph 3 means “________” in
Chinese.
A.拥抱 B.攻击 C.阻止 D.吸引
( )27.If someone wants to fight with you, you’d better ________.
A.run to home as fast as possible B.gather your friends to fight

. Also, you need to try hard to find out a nicer way to get what you want. If you want
to stay out late, you 59 speak out what you want to do and why it is

八、读写综合 (20分)
A.回答问题 (5×1=5分)
请阅读下面这篇文章,根据所提供的信息,回答5个问题。要求所写答案语法
正确、语义完整。“I don’t like my parents. They always tell me that I should do this and should not
do that. It sometimes makes me angry,” said Zhang Hua, a middle school student in
Guangzhou. Do you have the same problem? Perhaps your parents had the same
problem when they were young. Why aren’t some parents so friendly in their
children’s eyes?
One of the most important reasons is when someone becomes a parent, he/she
often worries about things. Since you were born (出生), your parents have worried
about everything about you. They do a lot for you. Though something would make
you angry, they care about you and worry about you. They worry about your choice
(选择) of friends, the food you eat, your study at school, how much sleep you get and
so on. All these things are part of your life, because they want you to grow up
healthily and happily.
So how can you make things easier on yourself? It’s easier than you think. Just
make sure your parents know what you’re doing. Get them to know your friends.
Phone them if you get home later than usual. Say sorry to them when you make
mistakes. Talk about your ideas with them and they may talk about theirs with you.
Most of all, try to think why your parents do this or do that. They are still
practicing being parents and need help that you can give them. When you become a
parent, they may be able to help you learn how to get on with your children.

例文
How to get on with parents
For teenagers, it’s important to get on with parents. What should we do?
Firstly, we should spend some time communicating with our parents. For
example, we may talk about our teachers, classmates or the things that happen in
school. Secondly, we should do something with our parents each week, such as
making dinner or going shopping. We’ll improve our relationship with them in this
way. Thirdly, we’d better discuss our problems with them. They will help us find
better ways to solve them.
It’s not easy to get on with parents. So we should learn to be understanding first.
