(1) (not) allow sb. to do sth.(不)允许某人做某事
例:The teacher allowed him to go into the classroom. 老师允许他进教室。
Mrs. Black doesn’t allow her son to play computer games on school nights.
布莱克太太不允许她的儿子在上学晚上打电脑游戏。
(2) (not) allow doing sth.(不)允许做某事例:We do not allow smoking in the hall. 我们不允许在大厅抽烟。
be (not) allowed to do sth.(不)被允许做某事,为被动结构。
例:Passengers are not allowed to smoke. 乘客不被允许吸烟。

find sb. doing sth.意为“发现某人正在做某事”,doing sth.作宾语补足语,强调动作正在进行。
例:You can find many people running along the river in the morning. 清晨你会发现许多人在沿着河边跑步。

1.find sb. do sth.意为“发现某人做了某事”,表示发现某人做事的全过程,即动作全部完成或表示发现某
人反复地、多次做某事。
与find用法类似的感官动词或短语动词还有:watch, see, hear等。
2.find 后常接复合宾语,即宾语+宾补。宾补可由名词、形容词、现在分词、过去分词等充当,find 后的
宾补一般不用不定式,但可用to be,且常可省略。
例:I find her an easy woman to work with. 我发现她是个很容易工作到一起的人。
We find the story(to be)very interesting. 我们发现这个故事很有趣。

until用在肯定句中,意为“直到……为止”,谓语动词一般是延续性的,如:live,work,stay,wait,study等。
例:You’d better stay in bed until next Monday. 你最好卧床到下周一。
(1)not...until直到……才……,谓语动词一般是非延续性的,如:go, come, finish, stop, open, close, leave等。
例:You can’t go home until you finish your homework. 直到你完成家庭作业才能回家。
(2)当主句表示将来的动作时,until引导的时间状语从句通常用一般现在时。
例:I’ll wait for you there until you arrive. 我会知道等到你来。

even though/if(即使;尽管)和as though/if(好像;仿佛)这两个词组中的though不可以换为 although。
例:Although he is very poor, he is ready to help others.尽管他很穷,但他总是乐于助人。

deal (n.)协议;交易
(1) a big deal重要的事。
it’s not a big deal 意为“没什么大不了;不是什么大事”,常用于口语中,相当于it’s no big deal。
例: Change the time of the meeting. It’s not a big deal. 改变一下会议时间。这不是什么大事儿。
(1) “It’s a deal.”意为“就这么办;一言为定”,常用于口语中。
例:—Let’s meet at half past six. 咱们6 点半见面吧。
—It’s a deal. 就这么定了。
