教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握课文中出现的新词汇以及这些词汇在一定语境中的应用: seldom, influence, absent,
fail the examination, boarding school, in person, take pride in, be proud of
(2)根据阅读材料的内容提取要点,实现对文章内容的理解。
2、语言技能目标:
(1)学会略读、细读、扫读等阅读策略,发展阅读技能。
(2)学会用上下文去推测文章及词汇意义的能力。

学生能比较熟练地运用阅读策略(比如预测、略读、词义推断等),了解文章内容。

学生能够理解父母,感受到父母的爱,与父母多沟通,尽力去做一个更好的自己。
2学情分析
这是一篇关于一个问题学生转变的阅读文章,篇幅长,词汇量大。虽然学生已经有了三年的英
语学习经历,但是大部分学生英语基础薄弱,阅读能力差,缺乏有效的阅读技巧。所以,在任务
的设计上要低起点,循序渐进,使学生在完成任务的过程中逐步掌握阅读技巧。
3重点难点
1.重点: 理解文章内容,学习根据上下文推测词汇的意思。
难点:(1)学会略读、细读、扫读等阅读策略,发展阅读技能。
(2)分析、处理、整合信息的能力。

活动1【导入】Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark. Section

Step1. Pre -reading
Show some pictures of stay-at-home children. Ask students: What do you know
about them? Have a talk with the students,present the new words: cause
problems, fail the examination, feel lonely.
设计意图:通过出示图片,把话题自然引入留守儿童,问题少年,然后让学生谈自
己对留守儿童的了解。既能激发学生的兴趣,同时也对文章内容进行了预测。
