3学情分析 学生处于初三阶段，本单元处于学生接触被动语态之后的第二个单
元，所以被动语态孩子们应该已经掌握，但是对于带有情态动词的被动语态还是
比较陌生的，本单元应该把教学重点放在情态动词使用情况的被动语态。对于学
生来说，从语法角度道理很容易听得懂，但是遇到实际操作就会漏洞百出，所以
应该安排大量的练习，并创设贴近学生生活的语言应用环境，才能更好地实现教
学目标。

活动1【导入】Introduction
Ask students to listen to a song and let them guess what the name of the song is.
The song repeats the name several times.
“I should be allowed to think.” This is the name of the song.
It happens to be the title of this unit.
Explain the meaning of the sentence.
Emphasis the usage of allow.
allow sb to do/ be allowed to doTalk about their school uniform. Ask students about their opinions upon their
clothes. I actually like the uniforms very much. But the students may have
different ideas.
Students would say that they should be allowed to choose their own clothes.
Turn to talk about myself. “Share a secret with you. My mother doesn’t allow me
to choose my clothes.”
活动2【讲授】Review the original knowledge about passive voice.
Ask students to change the sentence into passive voice.
Review passive voice according to the questions and reminding.
Target language teaching
Keep talking about my family rules including that I was not allowed to hang out
with my friends after school, especially with boys.
Let students talk about their opinions about this rule.
Students would say:
I think you should be allowed to…
You shouldn’t be allowed to…
