My senior year of high school was a whirlwind(旋流) of chaos. If I wasn’t buried in
textbooks or stressing over my grades,I was juggling(应付) multiple extra-curricular
activities and piecing together my college plans.Life felt like a crazy cloud of confusion, and I
was stumbling(跌跌撞撞) around blindly, hoping to find some direction.
To ease some stress,as senior year approached,I got a part-time job at a local coffee
shop.I had figured the job would be easy—pouring the best coffees, making delicious
doughnuts and becoming close friends with the regular customers.
But reality was quite different.Customers with enormous orders crowded the drive-thru
window(免下车窗口):the women felt that the coffee was much too creamy;the men wanted
their iced coffees remade again and again. There were moments when I was doubting
myself, simply because I couldn’t seem to please anyone.
Nevertheless,I kept at it.

One miserable rainy day,one of my regulars came in,looking depressed and
defeated. When I asked if I could help,he just said he felt like crawling into bed and staying
there for a few years.I knew exactly how he felt.
Before he left,I slipped his favourite doughnut into a bag and handed it to him along
with his coffee.“It’s on me!Have a nice day!” I said with a smile. He seemed surprised but
thanked me warmly before heading back out into the rain.
The next day was miserable as well, rain spilling from the sky.The drive-thru was busier
than ever.I spent hours passing orders through the window, drenched(湿透) from the rain
while customers stayed cozy in their temperature-controlled cars.No one seemed to notice
how hard I was working. On top of that, the tip jar stayed nearly empty!By late afternoon,I
grew more depressed.

Should
We
Establish
a Graffiti
Wall
?
Establishing a graffiti wall on campus would be a fantastic idea.A graffiti wall usually
contains various styles of paintings and messages. It could serve as a dynamic platform for
students to showcase their artistic talents,or an outlet that helps them transform pressures into
colorful designs.
To ensure the graffiti wall functions well,I suggest our school lay down some basic
guidelines. For instance,we could have designated themes for different sections of the
wall.Furthermore, positive content, such as motivational quotes and uplifting artworks, should
be encouraged to advocate a healthy campus culture.

His usual friendly smile returned as he handed me a little note along with his
payment for the coffee.“This is for you,” he said, nodding toward the note. Then he placed a
bill in the tip jar, which instantly brightened my mood.“Thank you for yesterday,” he
added.“That small act of kindness meant more than you know.” I tried to thank him,but he
just waved and smiled as the rain continued to pour.

around.Yesterday, you did that for me.I just wanted you to know it mattered.Keep being
yourself.” Tears welled up in my eyes as I reread the words. In that moment, the exhaustion
and frustration of the day melted away, replaced by a sense of purpose.I realized that even in
the chaos, the little things I did could make a big difference to someone else’s life.
