Topic Unit 8 It must belong to Carla.
Period ⅡI Section A Grammar Focus-4c
本节课是该单元第三课时,是一节语法课。在一、二课时输入语言的基础上,
Grammar Focus利用表格形式梳理出本单元的语法学习要点,单元重点语法结构:情
Analysis of 态动词must, could, might, can’ 表推测。接下来的4a-4c三个语法练习帮助学生通
过不同方式巩固上述语法知识,从笔头练习过渡到口头练习,同时开发性也逐步

加强。Grammar Focus部分首先以问答的形式呈现了情态动词表推测的句子。在
Material 操练该句型的同时,让学生感知逻辑推理。4a-4b是控制性练习,主要训练学生

境中体会推测逻辑。
通过一、二课时的学习,学生了解了一情态动词must, could, might, can’ 表推测用
法和意义。但在表达过程中对情态动词的用法容易混淆,在本节课通过系统归纳
情态动词表推测的用法,帮助学生进一步感知该目标语言。该班学困生多,课堂

注意:mustn’t “禁止, 千万不要”,语气强烈。
Explanation 生形成语言
如:

2. can 常用于否定句或疑问句中表示惊异、怀疑、
不相信等。 can’t 表示“不大可能”。
e.g. What can he mean?
The door is locked. He can’t be at home.
3. may, might, could 都能表示“可能”。could,
might语气更委婉, might语气最为缓和,含义更不确定。
e.g. There could be life on some of the planets.
4.对不同情况的推测:
① 情态动词+动词原形:对现在或将来的情况进
行推测。如: You must be tired after your long
walk.
②情态动词+ be +动词-ing形式:对此时此刻正在
进行的情况进行推测。如:
There’s a lot of noise from next door. They must be
having a party.
Mr. Li is not in his apartment. He might be working
at his office.
3情态动词+ have +动词的过去分词:对过去的情
况进行推测时如:I couldn’t have left my bag on the
bus.
They must have got lost or they’d be here by now.
5.sleepy adj. 困的;想睡的。可作定语和表语。
asleep adj. 睡着的。强调状态,常作表语。
fall asleep 入睡;睡着
sleep v. 睡觉 n. 睡眠;睡觉
