理解并掌握状语从句的用法
状语从句
一、
状语从句概念
用来修饰主句中的动词，副词或形容词的从句叫状语从句。根据其含义状语从句又可以具体
分为时间状语从句、原因状语从句等。本单元主要讲解when 引导的时间状语从句、because
引导的原因状语从句和although 引导的让步状语从句。

状语从句分类
1.when 引导的时间状语从句
when 意为”在…时；当…时”，可表示”时间点”或”时间段”，从句的谓语动词可以是
延续性的动词，也可以是瞬时动词。用when 时，从句的动作可与主句的动作同时发生，也
可先于主句的动作发生。
另外，在时间状语从句中里(包括until, before, as soon as 引导的)，通常不用将来时态，而
用现在时态表示将来的动作或状态，也就是常说的”主将从现”。例如：
I will tell him everything when he comes back. 当他回来以后，我会把一切都告诉他。
2. because 引导的原因状语从句
because 引导的从句一般不放句子的开头。对于以why 开头的问句，一般只能用because 引
导的句子来回答。在所有能引导原因状语从句的连词中，because 语气最强，原因最直接。

I missed the train because I got up late. 我错过了火车，因为我起床晚了。
3.although 引导的让步状语从句
although 与though 两者意思相同，常用来引导让步状语从句，一般可互换，都可与yet 或
still 连用。例如：

we are poor, we are still happy. 我们虽然穷，但仍然很快活。
注意：汉语中很多连词都是成对出现的，比如：因为…所以…；尽管…但是…。但是在英语
中because 和so， although/though 和but 不能同时出现在一个句子中。例如：

At midnight Mr. King coughed again. He got up and took some medicine. Before he lay down
