教学目标 Teaching Objectives: By the end of this lesson, the students will…… Language Objectives: 1. Learn some new words e.g. science math Chinese favorite music geography…… 2. use the sentence structure e.g. A: What’s your favorite subject? B: My favorite subject is art. A: Why do you like art? B: Because it’s easy Ability Objectives: 1. Develop the ability of talking about their preferences with the new words and the sentence structures. 2. Acquire the ability of getting information through listening. Emotion Objectives: Love what they are learning. 2学情分析 这是七年级上册的最后一个单元,这个单元的话题是Shool subjects ,这个话题贴近学生的学 习和生活,因此学生在学习时兴趣很浓而且有话可说,关于描述性的形容词,学生在第五单元 也已经学过,因此在谈论喜欢科目的原因时会很容易。同时,这节课采用小组竞争的方式来学 习,习能激发学生学习的积极性和竞争意识。 3重点难点 Teaching Key Points: Students can talk about their preferences with the new words and the sentence structures they learned.Teaching Difficult points: Students can use what they have learned in this lesson in life freely. 4教学过程 4.1 第一学时 4.1.1教学活动 活动1【导入】活动一 At the beginning of this class, divide the whole class into two groups, ask them to PK in this lesson. Then show student: I’m a reporter(记者) from Mango TV(芒果电视台). 2015 will be over, so we want to find out(找出) our favorite subject, favorite teacher, favorite sport of 2015 in our class. And we will find the best group in our class ,too. Can you help me? By this way ,we can cultivate students’ sense of competition and create a language situation. 活动2【讲授】活动二 Step1. Teach the new words Show students some pictures and teach the new words one by one . Then talk about the subjects with the descriptions they have learned like this: T: What subject is it? Do you like math? Why or why not? 活动目的:通过学生熟悉的教科书封面来教授新词,学生易于接受,同时通过谈 论他们对各个学科的感受来复习学过的形容词,为后面的学习做好准备。 Step2. Play a guessing game. The first time the teacher say the English words, students put up the books of this subject quickly and say the subject loudly. The second time , present some pictures of some subjects, ask students to guess them in English quickly.活动目的:通过游戏的形式来进一步巩固新授的词汇,同时增强学习的趣味性, 将刚学习的英语词汇与学生的学习建立起联系。 Step3. Finish 1a Ask students to open their English books and turn to page49, then talk about the themed picture with the students Like this: What are the two girls in this picture talking about? Can you guess? Then ask students to finish 1a, check the answers. 活动目的:让学生通过实践来进一步掌握重点词汇 Step4. Match the subjects with the descriptions Show students task one,Let students match the subjects with the descriptions, then talk about them like this: I think Chinese is easy. subjects descriptions 1. science A. cool 2. math B. interesting 3. music C. easy 4. Chinese D. boring 5. history E. difficult 6. geography F. relaxing 活动目的:激活学生所学的形容词,为后一步的学习作准备和打基础。 Step5.Sing a chantShow students this chant, at first ,the teacher sing the chant, then ask the students to sing the chant together. Math , math, I like math. It’s interesting, interesting! Music, music, he likes music . It’s relaxing, relaxing! 活动目的:进一步激发学生学习的积极性,同时巩固新学词汇,和复习旧词汇。 Step6. Finish 1b Ask students to turn to look at 1b, circle the subjects they hear in 1a. Play the conversation in 1b, ask students to circle the subjects they hear in 1a. Then check the answers. 活动目的:训练和培养学生在听的过程中捕捉关键信息的能力。 Step7. Pairwork Present a conversation with a student , give students an example, then ask students to work in pairs. Ask a few pairs of students to show their conversations. After that ask students some questions about their talks. Such as : What’s his/ her favorite subject? Why? 教学预测:创设语境,让学生在课堂中运用所学的语言,同时通过听后提问的方 式来帮助学生养成良好的倾听习惯。 Step8 Work in groupsDivide the whole class into two groups, ask them to work in groups, group A find out their favorite teacher , group B find out their favorite sport. First finish the survey report. Then talk about them like this : My favorite teacher is Mr. Hu, because his/her classes are interesting. My favorite sport is basketball, because it’s easy. Then choose two reporters from each group to interview some other students in each other’s group like this: A: Who is your favorite teacher? B: My favorite teacher is Miss Fang. A: Why do you like him/ her? B: Because his/ her classes are interesting and relaxing. Or A: What’s your favorite sport? B: My favorite sport is tennis? A: Why do you like tennis? B: Because it’s easy. At last ask students to fill in the blanks, then read the sentences together. Our favorite subject is , because it’s .
