通过本课时学习,学生能够:

foot;了解对话大意并感知、理解Where did you go? Did you go to...? What did you do?等核心
句型。(学习理解)
2.基本运用过去式词汇和句型谈论John的假日活动。(应用实践)
3.运用所学描述自己经历的过去经历和活动,感受祖国的大好河山。(迁移创新)
教学内容
教材分析:
What: 本单元是一般过去时的第二个单元。Let’s try中讲述了John没有去上学,Amy
打电话询问的故事。Let’s talk是Let’s try的延伸,讲述Amy去John家里看望他,他们聊到
了John的劳动假期,并呈现:Where did you go? What did you do there? Did you...?等核
心句型。Let’s learn以John的微博形式呈现,再现rode a horse, went camping等核心词
汇。
How: 本部分以对话、微博等多种体裁形式讲述John的假期和周末生活。同时在主情境
图中集中呈现了John的假期和周末生活,对语言知识整体感知。
Why: A部分的主题是Wonderful holidays,通过John在新疆的所见所闻展示祖国的大
好河山和孩子们的美好假期生活,传递热爱自然、热爱生活的正能量。
教学重难点
教学重点:
掌握过去式词组:rode a horse,went camping,went fishing,rode a bike,hurt my
foot;了解对话大意并用过去式描述自己及他人的周末或假日活动。
教学难点:
能够根据图片和相关语言支架,描述John以及自己的节假日经历。
学情分析
学生第二单元已经接触一般过去时,并能用基本句式谈论周末生活,接触了常见单词的
一般过去时的规则变化,本单元的话题更加开阔,句型上也更加丰富,同时会接触大量不规
则变化的动词。

教学过程
Subtopic 1: Friends’ weekends(Warm up and lead in)
1. Let’s review:What did Mike/Chen Jie/... do last weekend?
2. Free talk: What did you do last weekend? 拿出学习单,谈论自己的周末生活。
Subtopic 2: John’s holiday(Presentation and practice)
1. John didn’t go to school.
(1) Lead in: It is Monday today. Everyone went to school except John. Where is John?
What’s wrong with him?
(2) Listen and tick or cross.
(3) Check the answers.
(4) Let’s guess: What would Amy do?
2. Amy visited John.
(1) Watch, number and say.
Watch the video and find out what happened to John. Number the pictures on the worksheet.
(2) Let’s learn the phrases.

3.Your own blog
Try to write your own blog with the help of patterns and words. (homework)
