教学目标

2．扩展学习句型 Practice makes perfect. will you come to the party/play football with me after
lunch? I want to practise my song…
3.能够理解故事内容、朗读故事、表演故事,并能在语境中恰当运用故事中的语言。
4.在故事语境中,通过Zoom专心刻苦练习并最终在不擅长的唱歌考试中得到音乐老师称赞的
经历,让学生了解英语谚语“Practice makes perfect.”的深刻含义。
教学内容
教学重点：
能在语境中正确使用Practice makes perfect. Will you come to the party/play football with me
after lunch? I want to practise my song. I need more practice. I’ ll go swimming tonight.
教学难点：
在语境中理解Practice makes perfect.的含义。
教学过程
[Greeting]
1. Let’s sing
Hello, boys and girls, are you ready for the class? Ok, first let’s enjoy a beautiful song, now let’s
sing and do with it.
Okay, boys and girls, now please tell me when is your birthday?
2. Talk in pairs
Oh, my birthday is on February 21st. Will you come to my party? Will you bring a gift for
me? Yes, of course? Thank you. What will you do for a birthday party? Now you can talk with your
partner.

1. Look and say
Boys and girls, today we will learn a new story about Zoom. What do you want to know about
the story? You can use some words with “Wh” Yes, who are they? Where are they? When is it? What
are they doing and how?

Now let’s look at the pictures, what can you see? Yes, we can see Zoom, Zip, rabbit, cat and
bird. In this three pictures, they are in the music room. So maybe they are having a …music class.
And in this picture, the cat is swimming. Yes, a football. So, maybe they will play football. And this
is rabbit’s birthday. Yes, we can see the calendar in each pictures, you look very carefully.
3. Make an order
Now we know the date, this is …can you make an order for them? Yes, Apr.30th is number 1,
then May 1st, May 2nd, May 3rd but which one is number 5? Oh, we have two May 4th here. What

30th? Yes, they have a singing test. And Zoom can’t sing well on April 30th.

3. Fill in the blanks
So, on the next days, Zoom practice and practice. Now please open your books, and turn to
page45, let’s read the story carefully, and find out what happened on May 1st, May 2nd, and May
3rd. you can underline the key sentences. Now, let’s read it together and fill. So on May 1st, the

4. Role play
