Unit 11 Section B 1a-1e 学案 (知识精讲+分层作业) 【词汇用法】 1.辨析remain,stay 与keep remain强调“继续停留于一处或保持原状态,而情况性质不改变”,remain 常可与 stay 互换。 stay强调“某人 / 物继续留在原地而不离开”。 keep指“使继续下去;使较长时间保持下去”。 e.g. The students remained noisy when the teacher came in. 老师进来时学生们仍然在吵闹。 He stayed to see the end of the game.他一直待到比赛结束。 We should always keep smiling.我们应该总保持微笑。 2.even though虽然;即使;尽管;纵然 此短语为从属连词,相当于even if,引导让步状语从句。 【重点句型】 1.The general searched for three days and found a happy person. 将军搜寻了三天,找到了一个快乐的人。 search用作及物动词,意为“在……搜查;搜身”,后面直接接被搜的对象。 search在这里是不及物动词,意为“搜查,调查”。 search for 意为“搜寻、搜索某人或物”,指没有被搜的对象。特指用极大的注意力搜寻某 个特定的目标,而且给人以“到处寻找的”感觉。search的目的物用for引出,而搜寻的地 方常用介词through引出。 He searched for work at various stores. 他在各家商店寻找工作。 You can search for it on the Internet. 你可以上网搜索一下。 All night they searched for Margot.他们通宵到处寻找马特。 拓展:search for 和look for 都有“寻找”的意思。 search for 则指“搜寻、搜索某人或物”.look for 意为“寻找”,同search for意义大体相 同。但search for 意味较强,用很大注意力搜寻。而look for则较为通俗,常用于日常用语。 I looked for my missing pen everywhere. 我到处找我丢失的那支笔。 结构:search sb. 搜身 search sp. 搜查某地 search sb./sp. for sth. 搜查...找... eg: search the village for the thief search the Internet for some information search for some information on the Internet We searched in the woods for the missing child.2. How far is it from here to your house? 从这儿到你家有多远? 辨析:how long, how far, how soon 与how often how long “多长时间”,询问时间长短;“多长”,询问物体长度。 how far “多远”,询问路程或距离。 how soon“多久之后”,询问将来的一段时间。 how often“多久一次”,询问频率。 —How soon will you finish the job? 你多久之后完成这项工作? —In about one hour. 大约一个小时后。 — How often do you exercise? 你多久锻炼一次? — Once a day. 一天一次。 It takes (sb.) some time to do sth.为固定句式,意为“做某事花费(某人)多长时间”。此句 中it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式短语to find the happy man。 e.g.:It took me half an hour to go to school by bike yesterday. 昨天我骑自行车去上学花了半 个小时。 一、单项选择 ( )1.
