【词汇用法】
1.work out
解决，算出；锻炼身体
The problem is so hard that I can’t work it out.
这道题太难了，我解不出来。
work out fine/well 奏效
Financially, things have worked out well for us.
2. no matter
不管、无论，后接 what / who / when 等词，引导让步状语从句，主要用于“no matter what /
which / who / whose / where / when / how…+主句”句型中。
We’ll have to find a job, no matter how long it takes.
不管花多长时间，我们都得找到个工作。
【重点句型】
1. I’m looking forward to going to senior high school.
look back at意为回首（往事）；回忆；回顾
look forward to: to为介词，后面接动词的-ing形式。
My mother says she’s looking forward to meeting you.
我妈妈说她期待见到你。
2.I had problems with pronunciation and reading texts.
我过去在发音和阅读课文方面有困难。
She has problems in learning English.
她在学英语方面有困难。
The foreigner has trouble in understanding us.
这个外国人很难理解我们。have problems with 的意思是“在学…方面有困难”，其后常接名词。
have problems in和例句3中的have trouble in都意为“做…有困难”，其后常接动名词。

look forward to 的意思是“期待”， to是介词，其后常接名词，代词或动名词。

五、阅读理解There was a young man who was in trouble. He went bankrupt(破产) and his wife went
away from him. From then on, failure was all that he had seen. Struggling(斗争) with this, he
went into the forest alone. There, he met an old man who had lived there for a long time. He
shared his story with the old man and asked, “Can you give me one good reason not to give
up?”
“Look!” the old man said, “Do you see that fern(蕨类植物) and bamboo there?”
“Yes,” the man answered.
“When I planted the fern and bamboo seeds, I watered them carefully. Within a few
