1) no matter how... 意为“不管如何”,在此引导让步状语从句,相当于however。类似的
还有whatever / no matter what,whoever / no matter who,whenever / no matter when等,均
可引导让步状语从句。
No matter how / However hard he works, he finds it difficult to make ends meet.
无论他多么努力地工作,总是入不敷出。
no matter 常与疑问代词或疑问副词一起构成连词词组引导让步状语从句,意为“不
管……,无论……”,在运用时应注意以下几点:
(1)注意从句的时态
由no matter what/who/where/when 引导的从句往往用一般现在时或一般过去时。如:
No matter who you are, you must obey the rules. 无论你是谁,都应该遵守规则。
(2)注意被修饰的名词、形容词以及副词的位置
no matter what/whose/which 修饰名词时,该名词必须紧跟其后;no matter how修饰形
容词或副词时,该形容词或副词也必须紧跟其后。
如:No matter how hard he works, he find it difficult to make ends meet. 无论他多么努
力工作,却总是入不敷出。
(3)注意“no matter+疑问词”结构与“疑问词+ever”在用法上的区别:
①“no matter+疑问词”结构只能引导让步状语从句,这时可以和“疑问词+ever”互换。
如:No matter where he may be (=Wherever he may be), he will be happy. 他无论在
什么地方都快乐。
② 而“疑问词+ever”还可以引导名词性从句。
如:Give this book to whoever likes it. 谁喜欢这本书就给谁吧。(这里不能用no matter
who)
③ whoever既可引导名词性从句,又有在从句中作主语、宾语、表语等;whomever也可
引导名词性从句,但只能在从句中作宾语。
如:You may invite whomever you like.
2) help sb. with sth. 帮助某人做某事。help oneself to… 随便吃\喝…
with the help of sb. 在某人帮助下= with sb’s help
Children, help yourselves to some fruits.
孩子们,请随便吃些水果吧。
With the help of the neighbors, the fire was at last under control.

shall /ʃæl, ʃəl/ modal v. 将要;将会
shall是情态动词,在此处意为“将要;将会”,不能单独作谓语,后接动词原形,通常与第
一人称连用。其过去式为should。

“Shall we…?” 用于表示建议并征求对方意见。
其肯定回答有:OK. / Good idea. / Sure. / Certainly. 等;

instruction在此处作可数名词,其复数形式instructions常用来表示“用法说明,操作指

(1) double在此处为不及物动词,意为“加倍;是……的两倍”。它还可作及物动词,其后

(2) double还可作形容词,意为“两倍的;加倍的”。My colleague is off today, so I have to do double work.
拓展:double作形容词,还可意为“双人用的;双重的”。

My friend Richard went far to work, so he asked me to take care of his yard in the

Recently I had a trip to Sydney with my parents. We visited the Wildlife Park.
The Wildlife Park has lots of different animals. Some are native(当地的) to Australiansand can only be found there. There are more than 500 animals there, including kangaroos,
koalas(考拉)and crocodiles(鳄鱼).They are kept in their natural environment. I like the
Wildlife Park better than a zoo. In zoos, most of the animals are in cages(笼子).
We first spent some time with the kangaroos. We could touch and feel them. It was very
exciting to be so close to them. There were koalas there too. They looked very cuddly(令人想
拥抱的). Although we couldn’t carry koalas, I could take a photo with one. It is a wonderful
