Passage 3
(2025 年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试(1 月浙江卷)英语真题)
One of the most common mistakes in communication is trying to do too much. ___36___ There’s no value in
delivering any kind of communication, whether written, spoken, formal, or informal, if the message doesn’t come
across clearly. Being clear and brief — while maintaining interest and including everything your listeners need to
know — is a high-level communication skill.
Here are some tips worth following in order to communicate more effectively.

Keep your audience in mind.
Your audience will naturally be more interested and engaged when you tailor your communications to their
interests. ___37___ This will engage their desire to understand and interact with the information.

Don’t use ten words when one will do.
Even the most engaged and committed audience will eventually get bored. Keeping your message simple and
clear will make it easier for people to understand. ___38___ However, they’re hearing it for the first time. Keep it
simple.

___39___
If you’ve ever worked as an instructor, manager, trainer or coach, you’ll know that there are few better ways to
learn new information than to teach it. Ask the audience to contribute their ideas or to take a role in explaining new
concepts and policies to others. Allow them to lead discussions and meetings to develop their communication skills.

Consider the best method to deliver your message.
If the information you’re communicating isn’t urgent, consider sending an email. Written communication will
give your audience more time to review it, think it over, and follow up with questions. ___40___
Building effective communication skills takes time, but the effects are worth the effort.
A. Be patient.
B. Get the audience involved.
C. The best messages are often simple.
D. Speak directly to what matters to them.
E. You may be surprised by what your listeners offer.
F. It will also give them a handy record to refer back to.
G. As the speaker, you already know what you’re going to say.

The Impact of Technology on Modern Education
Technology is developing fast these years and changing our lives a lot, especially in education. For hundreds
of years, traditional classroom settings have been the basic part of education. ___1___
Firstly, the use of digital devices such as tablets and laptops in the classroom has made it easier for students to
access a vast amount of information instantly. ___2___ Instead of relying solely on textbooks, students-can now
explore a wide-range-of resources, including online articles and videos. This not only enriches their knowledge but
also helps them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Moreover, online learning platforms have revolutionized the way students learn and interact with their teachers
and peers. ___3___ Nowadays students can attend virtual classes, submit assignments, and receive feedback from
their teachers at any time and from anywhere. This flexibility is particularly beneficial of students who have busy
schedules or live in remote areas, as it allows them to continue their education without being physically present in a
classroom.
___4___ One of the main concerns is the digital divide, which refers to the gap between those who have
access to digital technology and those who do not. Many students from low-income families. may not have access
to computers or the internet at home. This can result in unequal educational opportunities, as students without
access to the necessary technology may fall behind their peers.
Additionally, there is a risk that students may become overly dependent on technology, which could affect
their ability to think independently and solve problems with out relying on digital tools. ___5___ Teachers need to
strike a balance between using technology to enhance learning and encouraging students to develop their own
cognitive abilities.
A. But now, digital tools and online platforms are changing them.
B. Students may also become distracted by the numerous digital devices.
C. Technology allows educators to meet the unique needs of each student.
D. Students can now access information from around the world in seconds.
E. However, the technology in education also comes with some challenges.
F. The traditional classroom is still the most effective way to teach students.
G. The convenience of online learning platforms has made education more accessible.
II.读后续写
(2026 届“贵百河—南宁二中、武鸣高中”8 月高三摸底考试英语)I hurried into Lehman’s grocery store. I
was there to buy my grandmother’s hearing aid batteries. More importantly, this was my chance to visit the love of
my life — Artie.
I ran to the shelf he was on, and there he was, right where I last saw him: a grey little guy with a large mouth
that fit perfectly over my shoulder as I hugged him tightly. I adored that stuffed dolphin. As I held Artie, Mrs.
Lehman, who had always been kind to me, passed by and smiled knowingly, “Hugging that dolphin again, huh?”
But my brother, Rick, noticed I took a long time in Lehman’s, saying, “You are a thirteen-year-old girl now.
You are supposed to be quicker. Next time, I will go with you.” Oh, great! My brother, Rick. He always laughed at
me.
But I wouldn’t give up. So, as we walked into the store, I suggested to Rick that he get the batteries, since he
was older. Then I headed towards Artie. There he was, awaiting me. I grabbed him and hugged him tightly. Just
then, I heard Rick saying, “What in the world are you doing?”
“This is Artie,” I said. “I hug him every single time I come here. I can’t afford it so I hope he doesn’t get sold
because I just love this little guy.” The look on Rick’s face was unreadable, but I knew deep down that he wasn’t
going to make fun of me. In fact, a few times when he accompanied me to Lehman’s, he said, “go on and hug your
dolphin, if it’s still there.”
One day, Rick was not home, so I went to Lehman’s alone. I went straight to Artie’s shelf. But he was gone. I
searched every shelf but couldn’t find him. Suddenly, a voice from the counter interrupted my search.
