Passage 1
范文一
Dear Chris,
I’m thrilled about your

 Taste of China

  series.

After comparing the two themes, I think Street Snacks would be a
more compelling choice.
Street snacks, which are deeply rooted in people’s daily lives, are not only affordable but also carry strong local
characteristics, making it easier for viewers to relate. Moreover, filming at street stalls allows you to capture lively
scenes of vendors skillfully preparing food and people chatting happily while enjoying their snacks. This way, you
can showcase the delicious food as well as the vibrant atmosphere of Chinese communities.
I believe such a series will be a great success, which is definitely a good opportunity to help spread Chinese
culinary culture. Looking forward to your amazing videos!
Yours,
Li Hua

Dear Chris,
I’m thrilled about your

 Taste of China

  series.

After comparing the two themes, I think Famous Dishes would
be a more compelling choice.
Rooted deeply in Chinese history and culture, Famous Dishes are not merely culinary works but precious carriers
of profound cultural heritage, each boasting a unique story and making it easier for viewers to grasp the essence of
Chinese food culture. Moreover, filming these dishes enables you to capture chefs’ exquisite craftsmanship, which
requires strict control over ingredients and fire, as well as elegant dining scenes like traditional banquets.
I believe such a series will be a great success, which is definitely a good opportunity to help spread Chinese
culinary culture. Looking forward to your amazing videos!
Yours,
Li Hua
Passage 2
例文①
Dear Mike,
Delighted to hear you’re keen on the labor practice activities! Personally, I highly recommend the community
tree-planting event — it’s far more than just physical work.
Firstly, working outdoors allows you to immerse yourself in nature, which is a refreshing break from campus
life. Secondly, interacting with local residents while planting trees will deepen your understanding of the community
culture, offering unique insights you can’t gain from books. Moreover, contributing to environmental protection is a
noble and fulfilling endeavor that leaves a lasting impact.
The library arrangement is also a decent option if you prefer a tranquil setting. Feel free to share your final
choice with me!
Yours,
Li Hua
例文②
Dear Mike,
Delighted to receive your letter asking for advice on choosing between the two labor practice activities!
Personally, I wholeheartedly recommend you to participate in the traditional Chinese food-making activity on
campus.
Firstly, this activity serves as a vivid window into Chinese culinary culture. You’ll get hands-on experience in
crafting classic delicacies such as tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) or zongzi (rice dumplings), each carrying profound
cultural significance and festival traditions. Secondly, cooperating with fellow students in the kitchen will not only
strengthen your bonds but also allow you to exchange cultural insights in a relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, the on-
campus setting spares you the trouble of long-distance travel, ensuring a convenient and safe experience.
If you’re interested, I’d be more than happy to share some tips for making these snacks in advance. I’m sure
you’ll have an unforgettable time exploring the charm of Chinese food!
Yours,
Li Hua

A Visit to the Youth Science and Technology Fair
Last week, our school organized a visit to the Youth Science and Technology Exhibition, and it was a truly
inspiring experience.
My favorite exhibit was a solar-powered car designed by a team of young engineers. The car runs entirely on
renewable energy, and its design was both practical and eco-friendly. I was amazed by how technology can help us
address environmental issues.
This exhibition has taught me that innovation has the power to solve real-world problems. It inspired me to think
about how we can use science and technology for a better future. I now feel more motivated to pursue my interests
in this field and contribute to society.

例文
My Everyday Hero
Of all the people I encounter in my school, our security guard Uncle Wang, stands out with his unwavering smile
that has brightened countless mornings for students like me.
One afternoon, I ran into him near the dormitory, while I was struggling with a heavy suitcase at the school gate.
Although he was off duty, he approached me with his familiar smile without hesitation and carried it all the way to
my dormitory. He performed it with such genuine joy and thoughtfulness, which lifted my entire day.
True greatness lives in warm-hearted dedication to others — even in the most ordinary jobs.

New Gaokao Listening Reform
Last weekend, our school held a lecture on the new Gaokao listening reform for Senior 3 students, who attended it
with great enthusiasm.
The lecturer explained the switch to the computer-based English listening test, introducing its differences in
operation and audio from the traditional one. He also shared practical mindset adjustment strategies, like taking deep
breaths to stay calm.
This lecture was really helpful. Not only did we clearly understand the reform, but we also gained valuable
listening skills. We all felt grateful for the school’s timely guidance, which gave us more confidence for the coming
exam.

My Favourite Traditional Chinese Food
In China, there are rich traditional foods, among which my favourite is zongzi.
A very popular dish during the Dragon Boat festival is zongzi. This tasty dish consists of rice dumplings with
meat, peanut, egg or other fillings wrapped in bamboo leaves. The legend behind zongzi dates back over 2,000 years
ago, during Warring States Period in China.
Eating zongzi is not only a way for me to enjoy the food but also an opportunity for me to connect with my
relatives and friends. Sharing zongzi with others is a sign of goodwill, and exchanging different kinds of zongzi
encourages me to communicate more actively. Zongzi is more than a delightful treat; it serves as a bridge connecting
people to their heritage, culture, and each other.

Passage 1
Dear Tom,
I’m delighted to hear you plan to visit our city’s new art museum this weekend. Let me introduce it to you
briefly.
The museum is named City Central Art Museum, situated in the downtown area, with a total area of about 10,000
square meters. It’s easy to get there by bus or subway.
Inside, there are a variety of artworks on display, such as traditional Chinese paintings, modern sculptures and
international photography works. It’s a great chance to appreciate different cultures.
It opens from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends, and admission is free. Hope you have a wonderful time
there!
Yours,
Li Hua
Passage 2
Dear Sophia,
I’m glad to tell you about our school’s “Reading China” English reading activity held recently. It lasted for a
whole week and attracted many students to participate.
The activity included reading English versions of Chinese classics and modern works, followed by group
discussions. What impressed me most was how these books vividly present China’s culture and values. It was through
this event that I gained a deeper understanding of my own culture while improving my English.
I truly believe such events bridge cultural gaps. If you’re interested, I can send you some recommended titles!
Best wishes,
Li Hua
Passage 3
Dear Chris,
I am writing to share with you a competition I took part in last week. The school reading club I am in organized a
logo design contest, and I submitted my own work.
Here’s my logo. I used a stylized image of a book with a rising sun behind it to demonstrate the club’s spirit.
The book stands for knowledge, and the sun represents the bright future. The book is open, revealing a world map,
which shows our global perspective and passion for learning about different cultures. I chose a simple yet vibrant
color to make it eye-catching and memorable.
The whole experience was exciting! Not only did I contribute to our club but I showcased my creativity. I feel
proud to have taken part and hope that my design will be awarded a prize. I will keep you updated with the result,
and I’m so glad I could share this with you.
Yours,
Li Hua

Passage 1
【one possible version】
Dear teachers and fellow students,
Welcome to take part in the activity called Bring Cultural Relics to Life. In order to enrich students’ school life
and make us know more about our cultural relics, our school holds the activity.
The activity consists of two parts. At the beginning, the headmaster will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony,
making a short introduction to cultural relics. After that, some cultural relics such as artifacts, paintings and so on
will be displayed, from which we can have a better understanding of our history.
Hopefully, you can enjoy yourselves!
【Another version】
Dear teachers and fellow students,
Welcome to our "Bringing Cultural Relics to Life" event. As president of the Student Union, I'm honored to
have the opportunity to open this wonderful occasion.
The purpose of this event is to encourage everyone to explore the history and culture behind the artifacts and
appreciate their beauty. There will be an exhibition featuring various cultural artifacts brought by students which have
been passed down through their families. Also, we will be holding a work shop where students are encouraged to
create their own cultural artifacts that look like cultural relics in ancient times.
Thank you for your attendance, and I wish you all a meaningful and enjoyable experience
Passage 2
Ladies and gentlemen, judges and fellow debaters,
Let me address today’s topic directly: the overuse of AI assistants does weaken teenagers’ thinking abilities, and
here’s why.
Firstly, AI assistants provide instant answers, which may discourage teenagers from engaging in deep thinking
and problem-solving on their own. Secondly, AI discourages active engagement with knowledge. This creates a
generation of passive consumers, not active learners.
Hence, over-reliance on AI tools can indeed weaken teenagers’ thinking abilities. Let’s use technology as a tool
— not a shortcut — so we don’t lose the very skills we’ll need to solve tomorrow’s problems.
Thank you.

【One possible version】
Dear Mark,
I’m writing to share a suggestion about the long-unused plot of land near the school library. I believe it would
be wonderful to transform it into a small botanical garden for students.
Currently, this vacant space not only looks untidy but also wastes valuable land resources. Instead, a green zone
where various flowers and plants thrive can provide a place for everyone to relax and connect with nature. It can also
serve as an outdoor learning spot for biology classes and help raise environmental awareness among us.
I truly hope that you can consider my proposal and make our campus more lively.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
Passage 2

Dear Charles,
I’m glad you’re interested in our school’s Chinese traditional culture courses! I highly recommend Chinese
Calligraphy
Calligraphy isn’t just about writing beautifully — it’s a window into Chinese philosophy, history, and aesthetics.
Through practicing strokes, you’ll learn patience, focus, and the balance of form and spirit. Plus, you’ll get to use
real brushes, ink, and rice paper, which is both relaxing and deeply cultural. Many international students find it
surprisingly enjoyable and meaningful!
If you choose this course, I’d be happy to practice with you after class.
Yours,
Li Hua

Passage 1
Small Changes, Big Steps
Our neighborhood has witnessed a quiet revolution: the once-neglected community garden, where weeds
once choked the soil, now thrives with organic vegetables and fragrant herbs. Residents, including my grandmother
who used to complain about boredom, now gather daily to tend the plants, sharing stories and laughter.
This change, though small, reflects a broader trend. China’s focus on sustainable living is transforming ordinary
spaces into hubs of connection and environmental stewardship. Such initiatives, which may seem insignificant
individually, collectively foster a stronger, greener society.
Passage 2
【One possible version】
Should our school library be open to the public?
I advocate that our school should be open the library to the public. It not only brings benefits to the
community, but it also contributes to our school’s development.
Firstly, it promotes efficient resource use. Our library often sits idle during evenings, weekends and holidays.
Opening our school library to the public makes it useful and prevents waste. Secondly, it builds stronger community
ties. Sharing our library strengthens understanding between students and local residents, creating a more harmonious
society.
Therefore, sharing our school library is a win-win solution that maximizes resource value and strengthens
community bonds, if safety rules and supervision are maintained.
Passage 3
Dear Editor,
I’m Li Hua, My favorite sport is jogging, which I stick to every dawn along the school’s tree-lined track, rainy
or shining.
This refreshing workout not only boosts my physical stamina, keeping me vigorous and focused throughout
busy school days, but also serves as a perfect stress buster — melting away academic pressure with every steady step.
It has also cultivated my perseverance, teaching me to push through fatigue and strive for consistent progress instead
of giving up easily.
Undoubtedly, sports are more than just physical exercise; they are the golden path to holistic health, benefiting
both our bodies and minds.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua

Passage 1
Dear Chris,
Last Friday, our school held a cultural exchange activity with the theme of “Entering the Spring Festival and
Appreciating the Charm of the Intangible Cultural Heritage”. The purpose of this activity was to help foreign exchange
students have a deeper understanding of the Spring Festival, one of China’s intangible cultural heritages.
During the activity, we had various interesting and meaningful programs. We learned how to write Spring
Festival couplets and make paper-cuttings. Some students even tried their hand at making traditional Chinese
dumplings. We also watched some wonderful performances related to the Spring Festival.
I think such activities are very meaningful as they help spread our traditional culture and enhance cultural
exchanges.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua

Passage 1
Take Care of Our Eyes and Avoid Short Sight
Dear fellow students,
We are living in an era of rapid technological development, when electronic products have become an
indispensable part of our daily lives. However, along with this comes a sharp rise of short-sight rate among teenagers
from 14.5% of 6-year-olds to over 80% of high school students.
With National Eye Caring Day approaching, our school calls on everyone to pay attention to eye health. Firstly,
develop eye caring habits such as looking into the distance every 20-30 minutes to rest our eyes. Secondly, participate
actively in outdoor activities. Most importantly, ensure sufficient sleep and avoid staying up late.
For the health of our eyes, let’s take action now!

Passage 2
Dear teacher and fellow students,
It’s interesting for us to design our dream classroom and dream study. I prefer to design an ideal classroom
because it’s where we spend most of our school time, and a comfortable environment can boost our learning
enthusiasm.
My design includes soft lighting and flexible desks to suit group discussions and independent study. I’ll add a
small bookshelf with various books and some green plants to freshen the air. Besides, a multimedia screen will make
lessons more vivid. I believe this classroom will make learning enjoyable, which will make our study experience
more pleasant.
