Passage 1【答案】Cultural Heritage Preserved Through Photos
Last week, to raise students’ awareness of heritage protection, the Students’ Union launched a photography
activity with the theme of “Cultural Heritage Preserved Through Photos”.
A lot of students who are interested in photography participated in it. They spent a week taking wonderful
photos of the cultural relics in our city. Meanwhile, they interviewed some senior citizens and asked more about the
cultural relics behind the photos. Finally, after returning to school, everyone shared the photos and had a discussion
about how to protect cultural heritage.
The activity turned out to be a great success. All the students were deeply inspired and expressed that they
would make every effort to protect the cultural heritage.
Passage 2【答案】Dear Editor,
I am writing on behalf of my club to apply for the “Best Club of the Year”.
Our club, the Poetry Reading Club, consists of 25 poetry-loving students and two professional teachers who
love English poetry. We hold a 90-minute sharing session every Friday, where members exchange reading insights
and appreciate classic poems together.
We have organized three free public poetry workshops for all students this year, and our annual campus
poetry recital has become one of the most anticipated school events, spreading the charm of poetry across the
campus. We sincerely hope to get this title to encourage more students to fall in love with literature.
Yours,
Li Hua

I’m Li Hua, editor of the English column of our school newspaper. I’m writing to ask if you would like to
contribute an article introducing Aboriginal culture in Australia, which has drawn great interest among our students.
If possible, could you write an article of about 200 words and send it to us by next Friday? We believe it
would help students gain a better understanding of this unique culture.
Thank you very much for your time and support. Looking forward to your contribution.

Passage 6【答案】 Notice
Our school is scheduled to create a campus garden next Friday, aimed at enhancing students’ awareness of
labor and community spirit, while also beautifying our campus.
The event will start at 9:00 am, taking place in the designated area of the school. Our job will involve
preparing soil, setting up flower beds, planting flowers, and maintaining the garden. We are supposed to transform
a section of our campus into a vibrant garden through collective effort.
The school will provide basic gardening tools. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for gardening,
including gloves and hats, to ensure comfort and safety during the work. Looking forward to your enthusiastic
participation.
Passage 7【答案】 Stop Food Waste, Cherish Every Bite
Recently, I have observed an alarming phenomenon in our school canteen. Some students order far more
food than they can consume. Plates are often left with large amounts of uneaten dishes, whether it’s rice, vegetables
or meat. Even some freshly-served food is discarded without a second thought.
Food waste not only means a waste of resources but also shows a lack of respect for the hard work of
farmers. We should always bear in mind that every grain is the fruit of hard labor. Let’s start from ourselves, order
food rationally, and cherish every bite on our plates. Only in this way can we put an end to food waste in our
school.

Passage 1【答案】Sports have benefited me a lot
Among various sports, running is the one I’ve been doing for long. I run for about thirty minutes every
morning.
Running has benefited me a lot because it not only makes me strong and energetic, but also helps me relax
and study better at school. Additionally, it teaches me to keep trying and never give up easily when I meet with
difficulties. Sports are really important and necessary for everyone’s physical and mental health.
So, I strongly suggest every student take up a sport and stick to it. Let’s enjoy sports and grow into a
stronger, healthier and happier self!

Passage 1【答案】Dear Chris,
How are you? I’m writing to share my experience at our school’s “Green Campus, Together We Act” event last
week.
Together with classmates, I planted trees in the school garden and designed posters to promote waste sorting.
Though tired after the morning’s work, I felt a strong sense of achievement. This activity made me realize that
environmental protection starts with small daily actions. Working together for a greener campus was truly inspiring.
Have you joined in any green activities recently? I’d love to hear about them.
Yours,
Li Hua

Passage 1【答案】Exploring Museums: From Requirements to Curiosity
Recently, I surveyed 48 classmates about why they visit museums. The results show that 31 students go
mainly for class trips or assignments, 10 out of personal interest, 6 to accompany family or friends, and 1 simply
for something different. In short, visits are still largely requirement-driven rather than curiosity-driven.
To spark genuine interest in museums, I suggest that the school redesign coursework to offer more
interesting assignments, such as treasure hunts and volunteer hours. The school can also partner with local
museums to run hands-on workshops. Finally, it is advisable to launch a student museum club to plan weekend
visits and share highlights.
I sincerely hope the school will consider these suggestions to foster students’ internal motivation to explore
museums.
Passage 2【答案】Dear Mark,
Thanks for sharing the disqualified photo case with me. In my view, disqualifying the AI-generated photo is
both reasonable and necessary.
Photography, as an art form, embodies the photographer’s painstaking efforts in composition, lighting
adjustment, and on-site shooting, capturing the essence of a real-world moment. AI-generated images, despite their
visual appeal, lack the human touch, the emotional resonance, and the genuine creative process that traditional
photography offers.
Allowing such works in a competition would undermine the hard work of sincere participants and distort the
very nature of the contest. Thus, this decision upholds the fairness and integrity of the photography competition.
Best wishes,
Li Hua

Passage 1【答案】If I Could Design a Campus Course
If I could design a campus course, it would be Life Skills and Creative Thinking. It will bridge academic
study and real-life needs.
This course will include two parts: practical life skills and creative activities. We will learn first aid, time
management and simple cooking skills, and also take part in handcraft design, story creation and group
brainstorming. All these are closely related to our daily life and easy to put into practice.
Hopefully, this course can help us become more independent and unlock our imagination at the same time.
