本课时是外研版第四模块第一单元第一课时，围绕”Thanksgiving is my favourite
festival?”这一话题来展开学习，课文内容主要通Simon 和Daming 关于新年的谈话，简
单地介绍了感恩节的活动内容，让学生试着用英文描述谈论感恩节等西方节日，了解中
西方节日的差异，交流自己对节日的爱。本单元主要内容是对美国两个重要节日，圣诞节
和新年的学习和了解。为下个单元介绍中国传统节日埋下伏笔。方便学生对比中西文化
