 Play the game “Simon says” to review the phrases： touch your face. touch your foot…

1. Say the chant ,and find the word in it :beef, feet, meet, read , tea , eat. Review the words.

2. Read the words and find the spelling rules

3. Listen to the tape to find the pronunciational rules .

4. Read the words one more time.

Step1 Warming up and leading in

     Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls, how are you today. You are great. Me?  I am very happy. Thanks fo ryour asking. Let’s sing a song together: Hello, hello, hello ,how are you ? Hello ,hello, hello, how are you . Beautiful sound.

    Before the class. Let's play the game “Simon says”.

   I will divide you into 4 groups. Group 1, 2, 3, and 4 . Let’s see who will do the best in our class. Ready? go!

   Simon says touch your face. (边说边做动作）.  Next one, touch your head. Wow wonderful.Simon says touch your knees. Touch your foot. You are so smart. Congratulations,you all did good job.

Step2 presentation

Ok class , just now, we touched our foot, and what can we say about “two foot”?  Yes, you are right, it’s not “two foot”, it’s “two feet”. Everyone，follow me feet, feet. Can you say it louder, feet.

Here is a chant,in the chant , there is the word “feet”

Let’s say the chant and see what words are there in the chant.

Feet, feet, feet. I have two feet.

Read, read, read. Girls read book.

Eat, eat, eat. Boys eat beef.

Ok , who can tell me what words are there in the chant ?

Yes, they are :beef, and another one ? Feet. And what else ? Meet.

And read , tea ,eat. （依次板书）

     Now , we have found all the words.

Let’s read all these words together : beef,feet, meet, read , tea , eat.

When we were reading , have you noticed that ，do they have some commons among these words? Who wants to try? Yes, lily, please. Good, sit down. In these 3 words (beef, feet, meet), there are the same letters “ee”here.

And what about these words. Ok, Lucy ,please. Well done , sit down, please. In these 3 words (read , tea , eat), there are the same letters “ea”here.

    Have you noticed that， what’s pronunciational rules of these words? Not sure? OK, Let’s listen tothe tape and follow , and then tell me, what’s the pronunciational rules of these words?

  Yes the tape is over, who wants to try , to sum up the pronunciational rules of these words?

     Peter, please. Yes , very good , sit down please. As peter says,

if there are the letters “ee” we pronounce them /i:/, such as beef and meet.  And what about these words? / Well , David,// Awesome, if there are the letters “ea” we pronounce them /i:/, such as read and eat. Wow, have you notice some secret ? Yes,let’s say together. The letter “ee” and “ea” have the samepronunciation. /i:/

That is the rule of “ea” and “ee”.  Do you agree?

     Look at the PPT, here are 3 pictures with 3 sentences below. Now work in groups and describe the pictures to each other and then, choose one of your favorite sentence and fill in the blanks. You can work in groups . 1,2,3,4, 4 students in a group. You can discuss with your partners and help each other.

   Would you like to do that? Yes, thanks.

   Who would like to write on the blackboard? Wow, so many of you wants to share your sentence. I have got a good idea, what about play a hot potato game.Are you ready? Go !
