1 基本句型
1.基本句型的概念：基本句型指英语中简单句①的基本构成形式。该类句型通常只有一个谓语(或并列谓
语)，是构成复杂英语句子的基础。

there be 句型

2 there be 句型
1.概述

there be 句型主要用来表达“(某处/某时)有某人/某物或发生某事”。there 无实际意义，be 是谓语动词，
be 后面的名词/代词是主语，句子的结尾常是地点或时间状语。
例There was an old man sitting quietly on a nearby bench.
一位老人安静地坐在附近的长凳上。
There has been a lot of snow this winter.今年冬天已下了很多雪。
2.使用 there be 句型需注意的几个问题
1)当 there be 句型中只有一个主语时，be 与该主语在数上保持一致；当有多个主语时，be 在数上应采取
“就近原则”，即 be 应与邻近的主语在数上保持一致。
例There are some bookcases in the library.图书馆里有一些书架。
There is some juice and some cakes on the table.
桌上有一些杲汁和蛋糕。
2) therebe 句型有不同的时态形式，而且可以和各种助动词、情态动词连用。
例There is still room for improvement.还有改进的空间。
There will be a perfectly logical explanation for all those deaths.
对于所有那些死亡事件，将会有一个完全合乎逻辑的解释。
There would be endless rows if I was at home.
如果我在家，将有吵不完的架。
There ought to be traffic lights at the crossroads.
这个十字路口应该设有交通信号灯。
3) there be
句型中的谓语动词be
有时可用seem to be、appear to be
、be likely to be
等或remain、
stand
、lie
、go
、exist
、follow
、live、 come 等替换。
例There is likely to be something wrong with his computer.
他的电脑可能出了一些问题。
Once upon a time there lived an old monk in the temple.
从前，那座庙里住着一个老和尚。 There existed different opinions on this problem.
关于这个问题，曾存在不同的看法。
There remained one significant problem.
还有一个重要的问题。
4)there be 句型中的 be 可以是谓语形式，也可以是非谓语形式 being 和 to be。非谓语形式的 there being
和 there to be 可用作主语、宾语或状语。
