非限定性定语从句
一．限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句
区别 限制性定语从句 非限制性定语从句

二．非限制性定语从句中关系词的使用
1. that不能引导非限制性定语从句
2. which 引导非限制性定语从句时，既可以指代先行词又可以指代整个主句，当指代整
个句子是，which引导的定语从句只能放在主句后面。
3. 引导非限制性定语从句的关系词无论做什么成分，都不可省略。
e.g. My friend showed me round the town, which I had hoped to visit before.
There hasn’t been any news about him since he left home, which upsets me.
They often run at high speeds, which may put our lives in danger.

三. as在定语从句中的用法
1．as引导非限制性定语从句时，只能指代整句话的意思，通常as 翻译为“正如…，正
像…”，常与 see, know, believe, report, mention, remember, say, point out 等词连用。其位
置灵活，可放在主句前或主句后， 或者把主句分开。
e.g. He is an honest boy, as everybody can see.
As everybody knows, Taiwan belongs to China.
As is reported in the newspaper, China has sent up another satellite.
He was late for school again, as is often the case.
2．as 也可引导限制性定语从句，指代单个的先行词，通常用于 so…as, such…as, as…as,
the same …as等结构。
e.g. It’s so difficult a question as no one can answer.
Nobody will obey such rules as prevent us from pursuing(追求) freedom.
四. 注意： the way 为先行词的定语从句,且在从句中做状语时, 定语从句通常由 in
which, that引导，而且通常可以省略。
e.g. I don’t like the way (in which\that) you speak to her.
The way (in which \that) he solved the problem amazed us all.
